Testimonials
Creativity is part of my DNA. I’ve been crafting and dancing my whole life, and enjoy the process of making things.
When I can make money from my creations, that’s the icing on the cake!
- Scrapbooking – The combination of crafting and storytelling made this a favorite hobby. I enjoy trying new materials and techniques with every page. Before there was Canva or social media, two friends and I started a scrapbook business, designing and selling premade books that our customers could drop their photos into, achieving a scrapbooked look without the work.
- Card Making – Every year, I give bundles of handmade, monogrammed notes as holiday gifts. I enjoy the element of personalization, and giving something that’s unique.
- Birthday Parties – 3-6 months before my kids’ birthdays, we would choose a theme, and I’d start planning and creating. Every element of the party was created around the theme, and the centerpiece was always a 3-D sculpture cake. Friends asked if I would do parties for their kids, so I started an event planning business, and produced birthdays, showers, and other fun parties.
- Dance Fitness & Flash Mobs – From my first ballet class at ~age five, moving to music has made me happy. As an adult, I switched to dance fitness, and became certified to teach in 2017, bringing the same joy to others. I brought my dance skills to my job by leading flash mobs at Social Media Marketing World.
- T-Shirt Design – My pandemic project was to design dance fitness t-shirts and create a web site to sell them. It’s always a thrill to see my designs in the wild, being worn by someone I’ve never met. I also enjoy cutting t-shirts into unique designs, for myself and others.
- Sewing, Knitting, and Crochet – I’m glad to have these skills that my mother and grandmother taught me as a child. It’s rewarding to be able to wear something you created yourself, and it’s very useful for Halloween costumes!
